
New Website & Organic Content Marketing for Fawn River Doodles
They needed more sales but their online presence was dwindling.
Social media was getting more complicated and harder to use and competitors were creeping up everywhere.
Here's what changed:
- Monthly organic traffic was 600 now it’s 6,000 (over a 6-month period)

Goals
Here's what Fawn River Doodles wanted or expected but wasn't getting.
- More sales
- Get in front of more customers
- Easier way to show upcoming litters to customers
- Accept online payment for deposits to make it easier and quicker for customers to pay
Problems
Here's what was keeping them from reaching their goals.
They weren’t getting the traffic and sales they used to.
There’s many reasons for this. The competition was getting stiffer. During Covid dog sales went bananas and everyone started raising puppies because it looked easy.
Another challenge was social media. They used it heavily to communicate with customers. It was also a great lead generator. But one day, gone 🫨.
They tried getting it back but without success.
Positioning was another problem. They weren’t communicating the reasons and benefits of choosing Fawn River Doodles over someone else.
Their existing website didn’t make it clear or easy for visitors to know about upcoming litters or what puppies were still available in a litter.

Outcome
Here's what we did!
We designed a new website organizing the puppies as part of litters.
On the new website, it is now possible to see what litters are coming up and which puppies of existing litters are ready to be adopted.
A lot of emphasis was put on figuring out why someone should do business with Fawn River Doodles vs another breeder. Most of this copy was used on their home page but elements are sprinkled throughout the website.
We added a customer reviews module to help persuade visitors with other customer’s experiences.
There’s also a module for FAQs. Which help educate visitors and reduce tire kickers by answering some of the basic questions.
Customer reviews, FAQs, puppies, and litters are all managed in their own database and then queried onto whatever page they are needed. This means there’ a single source of truth which makes managing and maintaining the information easy.
At the same time the new website launched we started an organic content campaign to grow traffic and brand authority.
4 months after the launch things were looking significantly better. Traffic, leads, and sales were all up.
